Through our Public Health Preparedness & Response (PHP&R) program, the Northampton County Health Department's Preparedness Coordinator, along with local emergency management and first responders, aim to work with the community to keep Northampton County citizens prepared and safe during any disaster.

It is important that you and your family are prepared for any disaster or emergency situation.  Please take time to sit down with your family and make a safe evacuation route and first aid kit for your home.  Below is a link from the Department of Health and Human Services that list items that are recommended for making a first aid kit and a basic emergency kit.

Hurricane Season is upon us.  This season began June 1st and ends November 30th.  Whether it is a tropical storm or a Category 5 hurricane approaching, citizens need to be prepared for what may occur.  Listed below is a list of resources that describe food and water safety, injury prevention, and more.  Please call Northampton County Health Department at 534-5841 if you have any questions on hurricane preparedness.

Don't be scared, be prepared!
